ENGLISH TOGETHER · READING LAB LITE v0.2 · Vocabulary attribution

The offline English–German vocabulary lookup is based on the English Together
Vocabulary 3000 workbook (prepared 22 October 2026). Its 2,809 NGSL headwords
are derived from the New General Service List 1.2 by Charles Browne,
Brent Culligan and Joseph Phillips.

Modifications to this adaptation: Added German translations, original short
English descriptions, 191 everyday terms and travel-related supplements.
The dictionary adaptation is licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. No endorsement by the
NGSL creators is implied. The standalone website code is not part of the
NGSL dataset licence.

Translations are educational aids, not context-sensitive full-sentence
translations. Teacher overrides take priority over the built-in dictionary.
Word lookups stay entirely inside the browser (no translation network requests).
